It’s Time To Change The Way We Talk About G-O-D.- By Lyna Jones

The world needs to reset its paradigm of God and the concept of unconditional, divine love.

If you will pardon my assertiveness, the God I know is in no way, shape, nor form a vengeful, fearful, and condemning entity sitting upon a egoistic throne above the clouds.

The God I experience in my heart is an all-loving God.

“God is but Love, and therefore so am I.”

In 1 John 4:16, it is declared that God is love. “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him”.

God, being perfect, cannot violate His own laws.

I could easily point out that a conception of God would be a slander to God’s goodness intrinsic, cosmic character. But God doesn’t care what you think of Him. He does not care that you worship him or not. He does not care that you even feel troubled with the word “G-O-D” because our father in heaven is void of ego. He knows of no need of approval and flamboyant worship because he is already perfected and needs no external affirmation of his godhood.

If God is perfect love, then he cannot punish humanity in the chaotic forms of hurricanes, earthquakes, or other natural calamities.

If God is perfect love, then he cannot keep anybody out of Heaven because it would demand judgment on his part and perfect love perceives no flaws.

If God is perfect love, then he cannot bargain on blessings. His love is not contingent upon how well we behave or how much we have sinned. Sin is an illusory obliteration of our divine composition. The word “sin” is an archery term which translates as having missed the mark.

When we detour from love, we have simply missed the mark of our perfectly loving and lovable nature.

He gives freely as we make the conscious choice to align our will — powered by love — with his will thus unblocking our interconnection with him.

God sees your inherent perfection before you even consider your own condemnation. And as we reel back into the all-encompassing perfection of God, God could not create anything less than perfect or it would no longer be God.

God is the radically loving rock ever so present within each of us. He can never distance himself from his creations as He is our primary source and an idea never leaves its source. God is only capable of love. Anything other perception is a projection of our internal guilt.

As the metaphysical text, A Course in Miracles, clarifies: “Love is one. It has no separate parts and no degrees; no kinds nor levels, no divergences and no distinctions. It is like itself, unchanged throughout. It never alters with a person or a circumstance.”

God is only love and therefore solely wills for your happiness.

Love is the thread of divinity which constitutes your heritage as a child of God and your function in this world.
